We’re very, very pleased to be able to reveal the PortsCenter Kickstarter exclusive 72Pins NES cartridge.

If you’re not familiar with 72Pins, they produce NES cartridge artwork (or cartwork, if you’re the sort of person who likes combining two words into one significantly more awesome word). They take modern games, movies, TV shows and other stuff and use them as the basis for their own unique NES cartridge cover-art design. The designs are printed on vinyl stickers, much as the original artwork would have been, and stuck to genuine NES cartridges.

72Pins has been featured on KotakuJoystiqVenture BeatNukezilla, and a host of other websites, and they recently held an art show in Chicago.

We thought long and hard about what sort of cartridge to offer backers. The idea of something PortsCenter-themed didn’t strike us particularly interesting – unique certainly, but who’d want a NES cart with my pixelated mug on it? Even I wouldn’t want that, and I’m me.

So, without further etc., here’s the PortsCenter-exclusive NES cart design from 72Pins:

Doom was, of course, chosen in honour of our pilot episode.

This snazzy cart is a PortsCenter Kickstarter exclusive, and is included with every reward tier above the $100 mark, but they’ll only be sent out if the Kickstarter reaches its goal of $4,200. We’ve got two weeks until the Kickstarter closes, so get pledging!
